I never used to care about robots. Majoring in Communication and Philosophy at Utah Valley University and originally planning to be a mediator, I shifted gears when I began researching emerging technology both in the subjects of the Singluarity and transhumanism as part of a summer term ethics class. The questions that come to my mind surrounding our advancing technology prompted me to choose transhumanism and the Singularity as subjects for this blog.
Born and raised in the Army, I have lived in Germany, Russia, and 11 states. While Orem, Utah is my home at present, I hope to continue to travel all over the world and gain additional perspectives from the cultures of the world. As a mother of two young children growing up in a world where computer technology is everywhere, I hope to use what knowledge I acquire to more effectively communicate with my kids and to influence the decisions I make as a parent.
